Best Communities for Music Education - 12 Years in a Row!

Spring Grove Area School District (SGASD) has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation for the twelfth consecutive year from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. The Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in providing music access and education to all students.

To qualify for the Best Communities designation, the SGASD Music Department answered detailed questions about funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music program, and community music-making programs. Responses were verified by school officials and reviewed by The Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas.

"This prestigious recognition is a testament to our community's unwavering commitment and collaborative efforts," said Mr. Tim Bupp, Music Department Chair. "From the hard work of the Music Department and administrators to the support of parents, students, and local leaders, it is clear that SGASD is genuinely committed to providing every child access to the transformative power of music."
